A Servant-Leader Bridging Cultures and Mission Fields

As Executive Director of Forgotten Harvest Global, Jose Eduardo Flores leads with a servant’s heart, shaped by a life of deep experiences and divine intersections. Born in Guatemala and raised between two cultures, Jose has lived both the struggles of poverty and the blessings of opportunity. His journey - including seasons of uncertainty and even time on the streets - taught him that the truest measure of life is not found in status or comfort, but in the way we love, serve and show up for one another.

He carries this conviction into every aspect of his leadership - believing, like the quiet truths revealed in hospital rooms, that humanity is most honest in moments of need. It’s in those raw,
unguarded spaces that Jose learned to meet people not with judgment, but with compassion.
Ministry, Coaching & Supporting Those in Need.

With a background in pastoral ministry, counseling, life coaching and community outreach, Jose has walked with people through some of life’s most vulnerable seasons. He has supported missionaries, leaders, and families across cultural and economic divides, always reminding them that our greatest calling is to love well.

Having worked in food-insecure communities and run a service-oriented business, Jose deeply values holistic care - support that honors both the physical and spiritual needs of each person. He believes that a life well lived is not one spent accumulating, but one poured out in service, with open arms, kind words and a listening heart.

Bilingual Support & Cross-Cultural Communication

Fluent in Spanish and English, Jose serves as a bridge of communication, ensuring missionaries and local communities are heard and understood. His role is not just to translate language, but to translate compassion, humility and respect - creating safe spaces where trust can grow. Like the hospital that holds both the privileged and the poor, the believer and the doubter, Jose embraces the beauty of diversity and seeks to honor the sacredness of every story.

Navigating Warm and Cold Cultures

Jose plays a vital role in helping missionaries navigate the contrasts between warm cultures, where relationships come first and cold cultures, which value efficiency and independence. With grace, he equips them to cross these divides with cultural sensitivity and relational wisdom, helping them embody love in any context.

He believes that in these intersections - where warm and cold cultures both connect and collide - God is at work weaving a greater story, one that reminds us: “Alone, we are nothing.”

A Heart for Servant Leadership & Eternal Perspective
Jose’s leadership is deeply personal. He does not serve from a platform, but from the heart - walking alongside missionaries, encouraging them and carrying their burdens with joy. He often reminds others that life will pass quickly, and that what we remember in the end are not accomplishments, but how we loved.

“Don’t wait for perfection. Forgive more. Hug more. Love more. Live more deeply. And leave the rest in the hands of the Creator.”

Through his life and leadership, Jose invites others into this rhythm - a life of meaning, compassion, and eternal impact. At Forgotten Harvest Global, he ensures that missionaries never walk alone and that love always leads the way.
